Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a warranty on air radon mitigation?
We offer a full 5 year warranty on both parts, workmanship and radon levels.

Does the fan need to stay on with air mitigation?
YES. Radon is a naturally occurring element and constantly coming into the home. Fans are very energy efficient.

Will my water taste different after water mitigation?
No.

How will water mitigation affect my water pressure?
GAC tanks slightly reduce your pressure, while the Aeration system increase the water pressure in the home.

What do closed house conditions mean?
Air radon testing must be done under closed house conditions. This means keeping doors and windows closed except for normal entry and exit. You can use the room the test is in. We are looking to get a picture of normal living conditions!

What kind of radon test is the best?
We recommend a digital monitor testing for initial radon testing. While both active and passive testing are just as accurate, the digital test will provide much more data and give you the chance to make a more informed decision on mitigation.

How soon can I retest after mitigation?
Your home can be re-tested for acceptable levels as early as 48 hours after mitigation, though we recommend waiting one week.
